If we started to enumerate the merits of South Tyrol, you could quite quickly get carried away. Mountains that seem to grow to the front door, well-maintained alpine meadows, wherever you look you can see attractive and varied climbing routes and bike and mountain bike routes – and our hotel is practically in the middle of it all. From Montal it is only a few kilometres to Brunico, where you can discover museums on foot, stroll through the Stadtgasse (main town street), lick ice cream on Graben Street and have a drink in a casual bar. The Alpenrose is also the perfect starting point for hikes and bike rides – Montal is located at the entrance to the Val Badia, which with its well-tended cultural landscape is one of the most beautiful areas in South Tyrol. A lonely peak – these are also the many mountain railways that bring nature lovers to a whole new level. Whether at Kronplatz, Speikboden, Corvara, San Candido or Sesto – there is much to do. And perhaps you also feel like playing a game on our bowling alley in the basement?
